Transmission Mainline

The Highway 2 to Northern Boundary Mainline Project is a critical transmission mainline for the ASRWSS to deliver water to over 600,000 acres and 300 rural and agricultural services across the eastern half of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.  Construction is being completed by Scout Lake Construction from Selah, Washington. The contract includes installation of 44 miles of 14” PVC pipe, four pump stations, two ground storage reservoirs and other appurtenant work such as valves, hydrants and ARVs.

The project is the third and final piece of large diameter mainline that connects the regional water treatment plant operated by ASRWSS with the Dry Prairie Rural Water Authority on the northern boundary of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.  Dry Prairie will deliver water from the Hwy 2 to Northern Boundary Mainline to the communities of Scobey and Flaxville and an additional 300 rural homes.  When complete, the combined water systems will serve a population of 30,000 people with a distribution system that includes over 3,200 miles of pipeline ranging in diameter from 2” – 30”.
